General Information

  • On starting at the Pre-School your child will be allocated a key person who is responsible for their personal plan and development.  If you have any concerns at any time you are free to discuss it with your child’s key person in the mornings or at pick up time.

  • Noticeboards are located outside the front door of the Pre-School with day to day information, and another inside the hall with information regarding weekly plans, key persons, newsletters, staff information, registration and insurance.

  • Staff are happy to discuss any concerns you may have first thing or at home time.

  • The Pre-School discusses different religions around the world.  If you do not want your child to participate in these activities please state on the form you receive with your welcome pack.

  • The lunch club runs every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between the morning and afternoon sessions, the cost is £2 per child.  It is suggested that an appropriate packed lunch consist of sandwiches, yoghurt, fruit and a drink.  No chocolate or sweets.

  • Newsletters and Facebook page: Newsletters are issued termly to keep parents informed of activities, forthcoming events, term dates and other important information.  The Eccles Pre-School Facebook page is used by parents and staff to keep up to date with what is going on in the Pre-School and is also a good way to get to know other parents and their children at the Pre-School.  It is a closed group and can only be accessed by parents and staff at the Pre-School.

  • Photos may be taken at Pre-School events for internal use; this includes being used as evidence in individual observations and assessments.  If you do not want your child to be photographed please state on the back of the Welcome pack.  Photos including other people’s children must not be posted on any Facebook or social media site.

  • Parents are encouraged to give a helping hand at Pre-School.  If you are interested please speak to a member of staff.

  • Fundraising is an important part of the Pre-School and allows us to purchase additional equipment for children to use.  Any suggestions on ways to raise money are always welcome.

  • The committee for the Pre-School consists of members of staff and parents who have children at the Pre-School.  All parents are welcome to attend meetings and contribute ideas.  The committee are appointed once a year at the AGM and all parents are entitled to stand.  Details of all meetings are displayed on the notice boards and Facebook page.
